Caladenia Dementia Care is a not-for-profit, community-based organisation founded in 1983, located in a purpose-designed building in Mooroolbark in Melbourne's outer east. It operates a Day Centre six days per week, providing dementia-specific social, recreational, and respite programmes for people living with varying degrees of dementia — from early diagnosis through to more advanced stages. The service also offers support, information, and advocacy for family carers, including a monthly carer support group and one-on-one support. Programmes are run by 22 qualified staff and 35 trained volunteers, currently supporting over 80 people each week. Referrals are available through My Aged Care (1800 200 422) for those aged 65 and over, or directly for those under 65.
