Magnetic Island Community Care

Magnetic Island Community Care is a volunteer-run, not-for-profit charity on Magnetic Island, Queensland, dedicated to supporting the wellbeing of elderly community members. Rather than providing residential care, the organisation focuses on social connection, community engagement, and practical support through exercise classes, creative programmes, and social outings. MI Care offers a social club with group activities, crafting programmes, and movement classes designed to foster friendships and community participation. The organisation welcomes NDIS participants but is not itself an NDIS provider, having shifted focus to mainstream community activities. As a community support service rather than a residential facility, MI Care does not provide nursing care or accommodation.
