Cowra Retirement Village, known locally as "Bilyara" (a Wiradjuri Aboriginal word meaning Eaglehawk), is a community-owned not-for-profit aged care provider at 1 Holman Place, Cowra NSW, situated 2.5km from the CBD with views over the Lachlan River Valley and adjacent to the Cowra Japanese Gardens. Operating since 1988, it is the largest residential aged care provider in its catchment area, with an 84-bed facility that includes a 14-bed dementia-specific wing called Ganya Cottage — all rooms are single occupancy with ensuite bathrooms. The village also offers independent living units for over-55s across two precincts (Kalyan Court with 25 units and Kiah Place with 9 units), as well as a Support at Home programme and Commonwealth Home Support Program for those wishing to remain in their own homes.
