mecwacare Trescowthick Centre is a residential aged care facility located in cosmopolitan Prahran, within walking distance of markets, cafes, shops, and public transport. Residents live in one of four 'houses,' each with its own dining and living room and access to leafy courtyards, connected by an internal streetscape featuring a central mall with cathedral glass ceilings, a kiosk, library, and hair and beauty salon. The centre provides permanent residential care, respite care, palliative care, and dementia care, with registered nurses rostered on every shift. The Lifestyle and Leisure Program, developed with resident input, emphasises social inclusion, with particularly popular art and music programs as well as outings to the Prahran Market and local restaurants and cafes.
