Wenonah Lodge is a small, community-owned, not-for-profit residential aged care facility in Gulgong, NSW, established in 1991 and the only facility in the Mid-Western Regional Council and Dubbo Council areas to achieve a 5-star rating in the 2024 Australian Government Star Ratings System. The facility has 25 private ensuite rooms — 24 for permanent residents and one dedicated to short-term respite care — with a Registered Nurse available 24 hours a day either on-site or on call. Freshly prepared meals are a highlight, with the kitchen team participating in the Maggie Beer Foundation Trainer Mentor Program, and a monthly activities calendar includes gentle exercise classes, painting, bingo, movie nights, and regular bus outings. The RAD is $400,000, inclusive of care, meals, laundry, and activities with no extra service fees. Companion organisation Wenonah Community Care supports over 86 home care participants and 70-plus Commonwealth Home Support Programme clients in the surrounding community.
