Uniting AgeWell Kalkee Community, Nangatta

Kalkee Community, Nangatta is a residential aged care facility operated by Uniting AgeWell, located in Belmont, Victoria, close to local shops and the Barwon Valley Golf Club. The facility provides residential, dementia, and palliative care underpinned by an individualised, person-centred model of care with strong ties to the local community. It includes a dedicated memory support unit offering a safe and stimulating environment for residents living with dementia, guided by the Uniting AgeWell Dementia Framework, and uses smart technology such as Tovertafels to promote cognitive stimulation and independence. Registered nurses are on-site 24/7, supported by enrolled nurses, personal carers, a chaplain, and allied health professionals including podiatrists, physiotherapists, speech therapists, and dietitians. As an organisation of the Uniting Church in Australia, Uniting AgeWell has served older Australians for over 70 years across Victoria and Tasmania.
