Yutjuwala Djiwarr Flexible Aged Care in Nhulunbuy (Gove Peninsula, East Arnhem Land) is an ARRCS service providing culturally appropriate aged care to Aboriginal elders in the Yolŋu communities of north-east Arnhem Land under the Commonwealth's Flexible Aged Care Programme. 'Yutjuwala Djiwarr' reflects the Yolŋu language of the region and the facility's commitment to enabling Aboriginal elders to age safely on country and in connection with their community, family, and ceremonial life. This is one of the most remote and culturally distinctive aged care services in Australia.
