Fitzgerald Aged Care

Fitzgerald Aged Care is a not-for-profit, community-based facility located in Windsor, NSW, with origins tracing back to 1818 as part of the Hawkesbury Benevolent Society. The current facility opened in November 1994 and is licensed to care for 48 residents — 46 permanent and 2 respite — all in single rooms with private ensuites. It provides 24-hour nursing and personal care and is fully accredited with the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission. A major $2.8 million refurbishment completed in 2017 upgraded all resident units and common areas, including a new café, hairdressing salon, and library. The facility is expanding to include high-dependency care and memory care.
