Eudunda Senior Citizens Hostel in Eudunda is a small residential aged care hostel in the Mid North township of Eudunda, 100 km north of Adelaide in the rolling agricultural country between the Barossa Valley and the Clare Valley, providing low-level residential care for older adults of this wheat and sheep farming community. The hostel enables older residents of Eudunda and surrounding Goyder Council communities — including communities of German-Lutheran heritage settled in the 1840s — to remain in the agricultural district they have farmed for generations. Eudunda's character as a small service town for the mid-north farming community, with its Lutheran heritage and the rolling dry-country agricultural landscape of the Goyder Line region, provides a distinctive setting for community aged care.
