Waratah Respite Services

Waratah Respite Services is a not-for-profit organisation based in Coffs Harbour, NSW, providing flexible respite and social support services to the Coffs Harbour region and surrounding districts since 1987. They operate centre-based day programs at two locations — Coffs Harbour and Woolgoolga — focused on enhancing independence, wellbeing, and socialisation for older people. Overnight respite care is available at the six-bedroom Maureen Guthrie Cottage for frail older people and those living with dementia, offering homelike, individualised care in compliance with residential aged care regulations. No person is turned away for financial reasons, and the service welcomes clients from all cultural, indigenous, and linguistic backgrounds.
