Maroba Caring Communities is a residential aged care facility located at 58 Edith Street, Waratah, Newcastle NSW, and has been caring for older people in the Hunter region since 1954. The facility provides full residential care, respite care, specialised dementia care, and palliative care, with a registered nurse and personal care staff rostered on duty 24 hours a day. Retirement living villas (Maroba Terrace), available in 2 and 3 bedroom configurations, sit alongside the nursing home and offer independent living with the reassurance of on-site support. Residents have access to a gymnasium, library, allied health services, beauty and hairdressing, relaxation and spa treatments, and a broad range of wellness-based and spiritual care programmes. The facility employs approximately 245 staff and also operates community and wellness programmes open to older people living in the broader community.
