Nhulundu Health Service is an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community-controlled health service in Gladstone, Queensland, delivering in-home aged care services through the Support at Home Program and Commonwealth Home Support Program for more than 25 years. The service supports eligible older people (65+ years, or 50+ for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people) to maintain independence and remain at home longer with professional, culturally appropriate support. Services include clinical care, everyday living assistance, independence support, domestic help, personal care, respite, and yard maintenance, with costs subsidised by the Australian Government based on individual financial circumstances. As a community-controlled not-for-profit organisation, Nhulundu prioritises culturally safe, family-centred care that keeps clients connected to their community and culture.
