Aboriginal Community Services is South Australia's largest provider of aged care services for First Nations peoples, operating Adelaide's only Elders-specific residential aged care service and community-based home care across metropolitan and regional South Australia. The organisation runs the Aboriginal Elders Village in Adelaide, providing 24/7 residential and respite care for Elders with low to high care needs, and Tjilpiku Pampaku Ngura, a 14-bed residential facility in Pukatja on the APY Lands. Care is delivered with cultural safety and respect, emphasising deep connection to culture and Country, with activities including Yarning Groups, traditional cooking, and community celebrations. Established over 30 years ago, this Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation prioritises Elders' self-determination and connection to community and culture as core to its care model.
