Northern Sydney Home Nursing Service

Northern Sydney Home Nursing Service (NSHNS) is a government-funded community nursing service delivering person-centred care across the Northern Sydney Local Health District, covering areas including Brookvale, Hornsby, Ku-ring-gai, Mona Vale, North Sydney, and Ryde. Care is provided through home visits and clinic-based appointments seven days a week from 8:00am to 4:30pm, with a limited evening service available for eligible patients. Services include comprehensive nursing assessment, wound care, palliative and end-of-life care, continence and catheter management, and access to specialist nurses in aged care, dementia, oncology, and respiratory conditions. The service is provided free of charge to all eligible patients, funded by Commonwealth and State Governments, and also accepts NDIS and veteran-covered care arrangements. This is a home-based community nursing service and does not operate a residential aged care facility.
