Melaleuca Aged Care is a not-for-profit community organisation located in the heart of Cowes on Phillip Island, providing residential aged care, respite care, and three independent living options (Melaleuca Place, Melaleuca Suites, and Melaleuca Village). The 30-bed residential facility, Melaleuca Lodge, welcomed its first residents in February 1989 and currently cares for 37 residents with a dedicated nursing and personal care team available 24 hours a day. The facility is governed by a volunteer committee of local residents and is fully accredited with the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission. Residents enjoy landscaped gardens, a vibrant leisure and lifestyle programme running six days a week and two evenings a week, and regular allied health services on-site. The organisation was incorporated in 1971 as Phillip Island Homes for the Aged and has grown steadily to serve the local community for over 50 years.
