Waratah Respite Services (Seagulls)

8 Boundary St, Woolgoolga NSW 2456, Australia

Waratah Respite Services is a not-for-profit organisation that has provided flexible respite and social support services in Coffs Harbour and surrounding districts since 1987. The service operates two locations — a centre in Coffs Harbour and the Seagulls site in Woolgoolga — offering centre-based social support day programmes designed to enhance independence, wellbeing, and socialisation. Overnight respite is available at the Maureen Guthrie Cottage, which has six beds for carers of people who are frail aged or living with dementia. The organisation has an explicit no-refusal policy on financial grounds and actively welcomes people from all cultural, linguistic, and indigenous backgrounds. It is supported by the Australian Government Department of Health.
