Buckland Aged Care Services is the only three-tiered aged care provider in the Blue Mountains of NSW, situated on 51.5 hectares of natural bushland in Springwood. Founded in 1934 by philanthropist Sir Thomas Buckland, it is a fully accredited not-for-profit registered charity administered by a voluntary Board of Directors. The organisation offers a 144-bed residential aged care facility providing single rooms with ensuite accommodation and continuous nursing care, alongside home care services and two retirement villages (Buckland and Lyndhurst) comprising 165 self-care units and cottages. Residents have access to a community centre featuring a library, lounge, indoor bowls area, craft room, commercial kitchen, and an auditorium seating nearly 300 people, as well as an on-site cafe (Ben's@Buckland). Allied health services including physiotherapy, occupational therapy, podiatry, dietetics, and speech pathology are available, and the organisation provides regular bus outings and activities for residents.
